It’s popping up on pretty much every ecommerce website and even brick and mortar retailers are offering it. Ten years of tax-free savings accounts prove their worth

February was the 10th anniversary of the tax-free savings accounts that kicked off in 2015. I chatted with Duma Mxenge, head of business and market development at Satrix, about the success of the concept and how the tax savings really stack up over time. It has also increased interest in ETFs (exchange-traded funds) due to restrictions of what can be bought, and South Africans with a tax-free account have directly benefitted. South Africa has been included for over 20 years, and her surprising stat was that the US is no longer our biggest trading partner.
