The 30-year-old had been a key figure at Blackburn, where he made 135 appearances across three years, before the Red Dragons lured him to Wales just before the summer transfer window closed.
As he prepares for a first return to Ewood Park, Hyam said: “I have a lot of fond memories from my previous club and I have a lot of friends there as well.
“But it’s business at the end of the day and we want to get a good performance and win.
“I have loved it [at Wrexham]. The club has been really good and the fans as well. I feel like I am really at home and enjoying my football.”
Rovers are 19th in the Championship, five points clear of the bottom three, having won only two – but lost just three – of their past 10 matches.
