Hurstwood Holdings has expanded its growing Scottish portfolio with the acquisition of a prominent office building at the entrance to Edinburgh Park.
The Manchester-headquartered property investment and development company has bought 7 Lochside View, a 60,167 sq ft Grade A block, for an undisclosed sum in an off-market deal.
It was sold for £13.3 million in 2018 to Redefine and was the head office of water services company Business Stream.
Constructed in 2002, the three-storey building is currently home to two tenants – financial technology company Origo Services and global engineering and professional services consultancy WSP UK – which occupy 20,000 sq ft between them.
Hurstwood Holdings plans to comprehensively reposition the building, initiating a £1.5m refurbishment programme that will include the introduction a range of modern occupier amenities.
Stephen Ashworth, executive chairman of Hurstwood Holdings, said: “This is a high profile, landmark acquisition for Hurstwood and an important addition to our growing Scottish portfolio, marking another significant investment in Scotland’s commercial property market.”
