Spotless Commercial Cleaning has added to its growing UK portfolio with its fifth acquisition in two years.
The Edinburgh-based company has acquired Midlands firm Eco-Clean and Maintenance, which focuses on office and schools.
The deal will grow its annual revenue to more than £34 million and further bolster its presence across the Midlands where it will now employ around 250 staff.
Rugby-based Eco-Clean was founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife team Angela and Bill Varney.
They will remain with the business along with the firm’s 100 staff and the company will continue to operate under its current name for the foreseeable future.
This latest development for Spotless follows its 2023 acquisitions of Manchester-based Purity Group, and south east focused Clearsprings Support Services, based in Salisbury.
Last year it acquired Norwich-based Ashdown Cleaning and Surrey firm Fluid Options.
Spotless was founded by chairman Roger Green in 1988. Through organic growth and its acquisition strategy it now employs more than 2,200 operating across a network of 14 UK offices.
Spotless Chairman and Founder Roger Green said: “This latest acquisition builds on our presence across the Midlands and really enhances our footprint within the education sector. It also further develops the Spotless brand as we continue to expand across the UK.”
