Scotland has a booming start-up scene, with a 15% increase in business loan applications.? According to data from 2025, the country is set to be an entrepreneurial hotspot, especially when compared to other regions of the UK. Although Scotland is currently behind Wales, it boasts positive growth,? with funding in Scotland, through the Start Up Loans programme, being £1,000 higher than the UK average.
