RenQuip, an Aberdeen-based manufacturer and rental provider of specialist industrial equipment, has created an operational facility in Grangemouth.

The new depot will help position the company at the heart of Scotland’s petrochemical corridor. Grangemouth is home to the country’s largest port and petrochemical complex.

RenQuip’s turnover last year grew by more than 40% on the previous 12 months and it is conservatively forcasting 25%, or £2 million, additional growth in 2026.

The expansion has been driven by demand from clients and contractors operating in the region, who have identified a strong need for local equipment availability. Shaun Cruickshank has been appointed to head up the Grangemouth site.

Managing director Marc Gerrard said: “Heading in to our fifth year of trading, we have created a solid foundation for growth and we are starting to feel our brand take hold across the UK and internationally.

“The time feels right to begin our expansion plans and establishing a presence in Grangemouth allows us to better support our customers where they need us most.

“This expansion strengthens our ability to respond quickly to critical maintenance and construction activities while positioning RenQuip for continued sustainable growth across Scotland’s industrial sector.”

The Grangemouth depot will operate as a scalable regional hub, supporting rental inventory management, equipment servicing, and refurbishment.
