An on-demand laundry service provider has launched in Edinburgh, adding the capital to a list of new outlets in Bogota, Kuala Lumpur and Mexico City.
The new locations mean Laundryheap now operates in 28 cities in 16 countries, including the US, Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, the UAE and France, with more launches planned for 2026.
This growth confirms Laundryheap as the world’s biggest on-demand laundry company, having served more than 400,000 customers around the world.
The company has processed more than 110 million items to date and has made seven significant acquisitions over the past three years, including UK-based Laundrapp in 2022.
Deyan Dimitrov, CEO and founder at Laundryheap, said: “Our launches into Colombia, Mexico, Malaysia and Scotland mark another major milestone in Laundryheap’s journey.
“As we continue to scale, we remain focused on innovation – from overnight delivery to new partnerships with local businesses.”
The company has a busy workload with bars, restaurants, hotels and Airbnb owners. Commercial partners include Emirates Skywards, CitizenM and Klarna.
Laundryheap has raised £17m in funding to date from investors and angels including Alex Chesterman, Nickleby Capital, Verb Ventures, The Side by Side Partnership and Claret Capital Partners.
The business has grown 700% since 2020, capitalising on the Covid-driven acceleration of digital adoption, a rapid expansion in the on-demand economy, and consumer expectations of hyper-convenience.
The new launches form part of Laundryheap’s most aggressive expansion strategy to date, with plans for further expansion across the US and GCC region to be announced soon.
