Alexforbes clinches top honour at 2026 Raging Bull Awards

Alexander Forbes Investments was named Manager of the Year at the 2026 Raging Bull Awards, with Sasfin Asset Managers as runner-up and Sygnia Asset Management in third place.

The awards, which recognise South Africa’s top-performing investment managers and funds, were presented in Cape Town on Friday, 13 February.

The Raging Bull Awards, now in their 30th year, evaluate performance across a wide universe of funds, with certificates based on straight performance over three years across 16 categories, and trophies awarded for the best risk-adjusted performance over five years and across eight categories.

Winners are determined using performance data supplied by Apex and Iress, with results calculated using the Sortino methodology, which focuses on downside risk when assessing returns.

The winners have displayed consistent, risk-adjusted performance across multiple funds, follow disciplined investment processes and show effective management through volatile markets.
