Lambrechts lined up as new PSG Financial Services chair

PSG Financial Services has announced that insurance industry veteran Lizé Lambrechts will succeed founder and non-executive chair Willem Theron, who is set to retire at the group’s annual general meeting in July.

Theron founded PSG Financial Services in 1998 and stepped down as chief executive in 2013, continuing thereafter as non-executive chair.

The group notes he played a central role in establishing its advice-led financial services model and in the long-term growth of the business.

PSG CEO Francois Gouws notes that Theron’s contribution over the past three decades helped shape the advice-led financial services platform used across the industry.

Lambrechts was appointed to the board in July 2023, is a qualified actuary and holds a BSc Hons (cum laude) degree in applied mathematics from the University of Stellenbosch.
