Brandon Subrayan, principal at Sanlam Private Equity and co-lead on the transaction, says the investment aligns with Sanlam Investments’ approach to private equity, combining financial returns with broader economic and social outcomes.
He adds that Medhold also plays a role in specialised employment and skills development, particularly for clinical engineers, technicians and product specialists.
The investment is expected to support Medhold’s operational and financial capacity, enabling it to scale its distribution of advanced medical technologies.
