Cash-flush JSE-listed real estate investment trust (Reit) Vukile Property Fund is on a deal-making spree again, it seems.
At the end of last year, it announced it was buying a 50% stake in Chatsworth Centre from Sanlam, and on the international front there are the big-money euro deals in Spain.
It announced the sale of its retail parks in its Spanish subsidiary Castellana at the end of January in a €279 million deal, which is around R5.2 billion, and days later – last week – said it is using part of those funds to buy another dominant regional shopping centre in Spain for over €100 million.

And who knows, maybe in other new jurisdictions soon, with the company also buying a sizeable stake in a property services company based out of London called Pradera.
To tell us more and share deeper insights on the acquisitions, sales and future plans, we have the Group CEO of Vukile back on the podcast. He is Laurence Rapp, and he leads a team that is one of the busiest SA Reits on the dealmaking front in recent years.
