Christian Arno’s eco-business Pawprint has been bought out of liquidation by the company’s former managing director Emily Hillier.
She has acquired the assets to ensure continuity of service for customers of the platform.
Shona Campbell of Henderson Loggie has been appointed to oversee the formal liquidation process and to support an orderly transition.
Pawprint was designed to enable individuals and companies to measure their carbon impact in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Backed scientifically by carbon expert Mike Berners?Lee, it was the first eco?companion tool to integrate actions across home, work and lifestyle.
Since it was founded in 2019, more than 50,000 individuals have logged climate?friendly actions through the Pawprint app, and several major UK companies such as Royal London, Vitality and Nando’s have used it to engage employees in sustainability initiatives.

The company has created more than 50 roles in sustainability and contributed to Scotland’s wider tech ecosystem through early adoption and integration of emerging technologies.
Ms Campbell said: “A route has been secured which allows the platform and customer relationships to continue under new ownership.
“Our role now is to manage the formalities of the liquidation while supporting a smooth transition. Emily’s commitment offers a constructive outcome for stakeholders and a positive future for the technology.”
Ms Hillier will become CEO, while Mr Arno will move into the role of non executive chair, supporting the transition and helping to guide the next phase.

He said: “Seeing the Pawprint platform move into the hands of someone who knows the business, believes deeply in its mission and is committed to its future is incredibly heartening.
“Emily’s decision to take the reins provides a positive way forward for customers and partners who have supported us from the beginning.
“I’m proud of what the team has built and delighted that the platform and proposition will continue to evolve under Emily’s leadership.”
Ms Hillier said: “Pawprint has always stood for empowering people to take meaningful climate action, and that purpose remains as important as ever.
“I’m excited to lead the next chapter, working closely with our customers to build on the strong foundations already in place. There is huge potential ahead, and I’m committed to ensuring the platform and the company continues to deliver value, innovation and impact.”
