Peter Murrell, the estranged husband of Nicola Sturgeon will appear in court next month, three years after he was arrested during enquiries into the alleged mis-use of party funds.
The former chief executive of the SNP has since been accused of embezzling money from the party.
His appearance in the High Court in Glasgow on 20 February for a preliminary hearing come just weeks before the 7 May Scottish elections.
Mr Murrell, 61, made his first court appearance in March last year. He made no plea and was granted bail.
It followed a police search in April 2023 of the home he shared with Ms Sturgeon just weeks after she formally stood down as First Minister.
She was also arrested as part of the Operation Branchform investigation into the SNP but last March Police Scotland said that she would not be charged.
Colin Beattie, the former SNP treasurer who remains an MSP, was also arrested as part of the investigation but was also told he would face no charges.
