A strike due to go ahead on Wednesday at STV hinges on the company agreeing to withdraw the threat of compulsory redundancies involving two employees.<\/p>\n
The National Union of Journalists is likely to withdraw its walk-out plan if the company scraps the demand which is part a plan to cut the north edition of the News at 6.<\/p>\n
STV did not respond to a request for comment from Daily Business<\/em> on the current state of negotiations.<\/p>\n The company has brought forward the launch of\u00a0STV Radio to Tuesday in order to avoid clashing with the potential action.
