{"id":866,"date":"2025-12-05T17:40:24","date_gmt":"2025-12-05T17:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=866"},"modified":"2025-12-05T17:40:24","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T17:40:24","slug":"former-dulwich-pupil-says-farage-told-him-thats-the-way-back-to-africa-nigel-farage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=866","title":{"rendered":"Former Dulwich pupil says Farage told him: \u2018That\u2019s the way back to Africa\u2019 | Nigel Farage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">A former Dulwich college pupil who claims a teenage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/politics\/nigel-farage\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\">Nigel Farage<\/a> told him \u201cthat\u2019s the way back to Africa\u201d has said he felt compelled to speak out after the Reform leader\u2019s attempt at \u201cdenying or dismissing\u201d the hurt of his alleged targets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Yinka Bankole, who claims he had just started at the school when a 17-year-old Farage singled him out for abuse, said he had decided to tell his story in full after watching the Reform leader\u2019s press conference on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Farage told reporters that he had never been racist or antisemitic with \u201cmalice\u201d. I was in the most junior class (JC) at the time, in a college that was so large, consisting of lower, middle and upper schools with an age range from nine to 18. I know how I experienced it. He has repeatedly suggested that the claims are politically motivated and questioned whether it would be possible to remember events from the 1970s and early 1980s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Bankole said he has voted for multiple parties over his life and is not a member of any political party.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cFarage has suggested that it is simply inconceivable that anyone could recall such events of over four decades ago,\u201d Bankole said. \u201cI would simply ask: can a victim of such abuse ever forget? I know I haven\u2019t forgotten. I recognise his walk every time I see it on TV as that same walk that used to approach me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cLooking back, it was perhaps a strike of luck that I left after a year. The high school fees being a contributory factor along with family relocation. The thought terrifies me of what could have happened if I was there the following year when the bully would have had even more authority.
