{"id":8012,"date":"2025-12-30T12:47:24","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T12:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=8012"},"modified":"2025-12-30T12:47:24","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T12:47:24","slug":"eurostar-trains-cancelled-and-delayed-due-to-channel-tunnel-problem-eurostar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=8012","title":{"rendered":"Eurostar trains cancelled and delayed due to Channel tunnel problem | Eurostar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Passengers planning to use the Channel tunnel on Tuesday are being urged to change their travel plans as a problem with the power supply causes severe disruption.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Services have been cancelled on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/eurostar\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\">Eurostar<\/a> passenger service and the Le Shuttle train, which carries cars and freight vehicles between terminals at Folkestone and Calais.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Queues of motorists are already <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/putajumperon\/status\/2005970155663417370\/photo\/1\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">forming at Folkestone<\/a>, while the 7.01am passenger train that left St Pancras International this morning has yet to arrive in Paris and is now running four hours late.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">In a notice posted on its website, the Eurostar operator said: \u201cDue to a problem with the overhead power supply in the Channel tunnel and a subsequent failed Le Shuttle train, we strongly advise all our passengers to postpone their journey to a different date. Please don\u2019t come to the station unless you already have a ticket to travel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">A statement on the Le Shuttle website said: \u201cWe are experiencing severe disruptions to our service due to an overhead power supply issue; services are delayed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cWe\u2019re working hard to resolve this.
