Overseas investors bought a net R72.4 billion ($4.3 billion) of local-currency bonds this year. It has also been the best-performing emerging-market currency in the past six months after the Colombian peso.<\/p>\n<p>South Africa\u2019s new lower inflation target is also giving the unit fresh momentum.
