Around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a shooting happened inside a Benihana<\/a><\/span> restaurant in Maple Grove, Minnesota<\/a><\/span>. One person was injured, according to police who also confirmed no active threats existed towards people in the area.\n<\/p>\n

As of late Friday, no arrests had been made, but an investigation was ongoing.\n<\/p>\n

Both the victim and shooter left the vicinity before police arrived. Later on, Friday, the victim reportedly sought treatment at a local hospital. The restaurant was evacuated and closed following the shooting.\n<\/p>\n

Early reports indicate the two men involved in the altercation knew one another. The victim was reportedly a 33-year-old man. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle. Reports indicate the victim’s injuries were not life threatening. Eyewitnesses reported the event as chaotic.\n<\/p>\n

The motive remains unknown, but authorities say the victim and suspect had a relationship. As of November 18, 2025, no one has been arrested.\n<\/p>\n
