Some Epstein documents include \u2018untrue and sensationalist claims\u2019 against Trump, says DoJ<\/h2>\n<\/header>\n

The US Department of Justice<\/strong> has released nearly 30,000 of additional pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong>. Unlike the last batches, this tranche features many more references to Donald Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In a statement accompanying the release<\/a>, the department said some of the material includes \u201cuntrue and sensationalist claims\u201d submitted to the FBI shortly before the 2020 US election, including allegations made against Trump.<\/p>\n

The department said the claims are \u201cunfounded and false\u201d.<\/p>\n

The statement on X continued:<\/p>\n

<\/svg>To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, out of our commitment to the law and transparency, the DOJ is releasing these documents with the legally required protections for Epstein\u2019s victims.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
