Elizabeth Pirrie, CEO of the business incubator AccelerateHER has taken full ownership of the business.<\/p>\n

She said AccelerateHER had grown into a \u201cpowerhouse community\u201d thanks to the passion and drive of so many, including founder, Jackie Waring, \u201cwhose vision helped spark something truly special\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ms Waring will remain a mentor and adviser to the group.<\/p>\n

Hero Brands expands<\/strong><\/p>\n Hero Brands, the East Kilbride-based group whose busineses include the German Doner Kebab chain, has reported underlying profits (Ebitda) of \u00a31.4 million. Operating profit, before exceptional items, came in at about \u00a3700,000.<\/p>\n The company has also launched Hero NXT, a talent and licensing agency dedicated to forging long-term strategic partnerships and co-developing creator-led products and brand IP across entertainment, sports, fashion, food, beverage and lifestyle.<\/p>\n During the current financial year, GDK received investment from True Capital to support its continued\u00a0rollout in the UK.<\/p>\n Now employing more than 4,500 people in its restaurants around the world, the group said it was well placed for significant UK and new region growth over the next decade.<\/p>\n Hero Brands chairman Athif Sarwar said: \u201cWe are entering an exciting period of growth for Hero Brands as we continue to re-invest and create category defining brands that represent today\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n \u201cOur goal is to connect with new talent across music, fashion and culture, and use our platform to incubate and scale high-value sustainable brands.\u201d<\/p>\n \t <\/div>\n
