Scottish hospitality operator\u00a0Buzzworks\u00a0has acquired The South Beach Hotel in Troon, marking the next chapter in its expansion\u00a0into accommodation.<\/p>\n
Located near Troon\u2019s beachfront and less than a mile from Royal Troon Golf Club, The South Beach Hotel has been part of the town\u2019s hospitality scene for more than a century, welcoming generations of residents,\u00a0visitors\u00a0and golfers to Ayrshire.<\/p>\n
For more than 45 years, the hotel was owned and operated by the Watt family, becoming a well-established part of the local community. The hotel will continue operating under its current ownership until October before temporarily closing for refurbishment.<\/p>\n
Following a major seven figure redevelopment, The South Beach Hotel will join\u00a0Buzzworks\u2019 growing House Collection.<\/p>\n
The move builds on\u00a0Buzzworks\u2019 well-established presence in Troon, where\u00a0Scotts, Lido and The Fox have become firm favourites with locals and visitors alike. The South Beach Hotel adds a new dimension \u2013 bringing accommodation into the mix for the first time and giving guests the chance to eat, drink and stay with\u00a0Buzzworks\u00a0in the town, all under one roof.<\/p>\n
Led by acclaimed designer Jim Hamilton, the refurbishment will draw on the building\u2019s rich history and coastal setting.<\/p>\n
When\u00a0Buzzworks\u00a0officially takes over The South Beach Hotel in October, the existing team will become part of the\u00a0Buzzworks\u00a0family.<\/p>\n
