Westica Communications, a Glasgow-based specialist in microwave and radio networks, has been acquired by Serbus, and ICT infrastructure managed services company for an undisclosed sum.<\/p>\n
Serbus is backed by Aliter Capital, the private equity \u2018buy and build\u2019 specialist with offices in Glasgow and London. Westica is the fourth acquisition by Serbus since December 2022.<\/p>\n
Founded in Glasgow in 1994, Westica works with customers operating in some of the UK\u2019s most demanding critical national infrastructure (CNI) environments including utilities, \u2018blue light\u2019 services, government, transport, and oil & gas.<\/p>\n
Its directors Stevie Dynes and Andy Hunwicks are remaining with the business, working closely with Serbus and Aliter which is focused on adding further acquisitions and supporting the company\u2019s organic growth.<\/p>\n
Mr Dynes said: \u201cOur success has always been built on technical expertise, responsiveness and customer relationships. Joining Serbus Group allows us to build on those foundations and invest further in the future. <\/p>\n
