{"id":31081,"date":"2026-06-04T18:51:29","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T18:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=31081"},"modified":"2026-06-04T18:51:29","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T18:51:29","slug":"bids-invited-to-complete-a9-dualling-programme-daily-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=31081","title":{"rendered":"Bids invited to complete A9 dualling programme \u2013 Daily Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailybusinessgroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Stephen-Flynn-on-A9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196072 lazyload\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"907\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/dailybusinessgroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Stephen-Flynn-on-A9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196072 lazyload\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailybusinessgroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Stephen-Flynn-on-A9.png 907w, https:\/\/dailybusinessgroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Stephen-Flynn-on-A9-300x198.png 300w, https:\/\/dailybusinessgroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Stephen-Flynn-on-A9-768x508.png 768w, https:\/\/dailybusinessgroup.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Stephen-Flynn-on-A9-600x397.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 907px) 100vw, 907px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Stephen Flynn: clear signal<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Contractors are being invited to bid for the remaining 58 miles of the A9 dualling programme, a \u00a31.94 billion project to upgrade the route.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The first contract to be procured using the new Framework Agreement will be the Dalraddy and Slochd section, which includes the replacement of three at-grade junctions (Aviemore South, Granish (A95) and Blackmount (Carrbridge)) with three new grade-separated junctions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Stephen Flynn, the Economy, Tourism and Transport Secretary, said: \u201cWe are serious about delivering the A9 Dualling. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have listened to the construction industry and have refreshed our delivery model to support\u00a0this Government\u2019s commitment to delivering dualling of the A9 by the end of 2035.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis announcement today is evidence of our continued commitment to full dualling of the A9.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the A9 Dualling Programme is not just about infrastructure: it is about strengthening connections between the Highlands and the Central Belt, supporting economic growth, and local communities by creating opportunities for people and businesses across Scotland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The Government announced the A9 Dualling in December 2023.
