Average wages vary across the country<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Research has revealed a pay gap of more than \u00a3200 a week between Scotland\u2019s highest and lowest-earning areas.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Shetland Islands\u00a0offers the highest weekly earnings of \u00a3859.10 and the Moray area the lowest with average pay of just\u00a0\u00a3658.80.<\/p>\n

CV builder CV Maker has analysed Office for National Statistics data that shows which areas pay above and below Scotland\u2019s overall average weekly earnings of\u00a0\u00a3773.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The median weekly pay for full-time employees across the the UK is approximately \u00a3767. Average total earnings (including bonuses) is \u00a3745 and \u00a3692 excluding bonuses.<\/p>\n

Nicky\u00a0Klaasse, CEO at\u00a0CV Maker, said:\u00a0 \u201cThese statistics\u00a0highlight\u00a0the wage\u00a0disparity\u00a0across different parts of Scotland. <\/p>\n
