Businesses that have demonstrated real community impact over the last 12 months are being urged to showcase this by entering the Scotland Business of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n

Our judges want to see tangible demonstrations of \u2018giving something back\u2019, through corporate social responsibility initiatives or charitable activities.<\/p>\n

They are particularly looking to recognise efforts that are additional to the organisation\u2019s main operations \u2013 although charities and social enterprises can nominate a corporate partner who they feel has provided outstanding support.<\/p>\n

The awards are taking place for the first time in Scotland in 2026, organised by TheBusinessDesk.com and supported by PwC,\u00a0Daily Business<\/em>\u00a0and TheBusinessGrid.<\/p>\n

Peter Walker, editor of TheBusinessDesk Scotland, said: \u201cWe want to hear the good news stories, where companies have really committed to using their people, places and profits to benefit the communities in which they are based.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a chance to show that rather than just being an afterthought donation, your team really cares about its locals and has been innovative in its approach.\u201d<\/p>\n

Entries are open for 13 categories spanning businesses of all sizes and sectors, including fast-growth businesses, international trade, investment, and employers. There will also be two individual awards, for chief executive of the year and ambassador.<\/p>\n
