{"id":28040,"date":"2026-03-17T14:45:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T14:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=28040"},"modified":"2026-03-17T14:45:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T14:45:11","slug":"gamma-adds-ai-image-generation-tools-in-bid-to-take-on-canva-and-adobe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=28040","title":{"rendered":"Gamma adds AI image generation tools in bid to take on Canva and Adobe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gamma.app\/\">Gamma<\/a>, a platform that lets you use AI to create presentations and websites, is launching a new image-generation product for making marketing assets as it seeks to better compete with the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/04\/10\/canva-is-adding-an-ai-assistant-coding-and-sheets-to-its-platform\/\">Canva<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/21\/adobe-acrobat-now-lets-you-edit-files-using-prompts-generate-podcast-summaries\/\">Adobe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company says its new product, called Gamma Imagine, will let users employ text prompts to create brand-specific assets like interactive charts and visualizations, marketing collateral, social graphics, and infographics. Gamma currently provides more than 100 templates, which you can use alongside its AI tools to build the kind of assets that you need. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gamma Imagine - Product Demo\" width=\"1110\" height=\"624\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sQszHJZXnQE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To power its data-driven asset generation features, the company is integrating with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Make, Zapier, Atlassian, n8n, and Superhuman Go. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs we started working with a lot of our early users, we realized\u00a0that in the presentations they want to create, there was a variety of graphical design use cases that they all also had,\u201d Grant Lee, Gamma\u2019s CEO and co-founder, told TechCrunch. \u201cSo we worked alongside them to develop basically a new set of tools that allows them to go\u00a0far beyond just the traditional presentation format,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lee believes Gamma sits well between tools for professionals like Adobe or Figma, and legacy tools like Microsoft PowerPoint.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe think we can serve the very long tail of knowledge workers and business professionals whose demand for their job is to communicate visually, but they just don\u2019t have the tools. They need to pull in a design resource to be able to help with this stuff, and we want to make an-AI native approach that serves\u00a0their needs in the sort of middle that we feel is really underserved,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last November, Gamma raised $68 million in a Series B round led by a16z, at a $2.1 billion valuation. At that time, the company said it had ARR of <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/11\/10\/ai-powerpoint-killer-gamma-hits-2-1b-valuation-100m-arr-founder-says\/\">$100 million, and 70 million users<\/a>.
