{"id":26494,"date":"2026-03-04T13:31:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T13:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=26494"},"modified":"2026-03-04T13:31:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T13:31:13","slug":"bessent-says-trumps-tariff-hike-to-15-likely-coming-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=26494","title":{"rendered":"Bessent says Trump\u2019s tariff hike to 15% likely coming this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"textFreeArticle\">\n<p>Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that President Donald Trump\u2019s plan to increase a 10% universal tariff up to 15% will likely be done this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s likely sometime this week,\u201d Bessent said on CNBC in response to a question about when the increase to 15% would be implemented.<\/p>\n<p>Trump last month put a 10% universal levy in place after the Supreme Court invalidated most of his previous tariff regime. Bessent noted the authority for the new duties only allows for the measure to last 150 days.
