Stripe declined to comment on the news.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But unnamed sources tell Semafor that the company has been working with bankers in preparation for a possible activist investor campaign or a hostile takeover. The bankers were working with <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/paypal-replaces-ceo-flags-lower-130900308.html\">Alex <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/paypal-replaces-ceo-flags-lower-130900308.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chriss<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/paypal-replaces-ceo-flags-lower-130900308.html\">, PayPal\u2019s<\/a> now-ousted CEO, the outlet reported.
