A north east recruitment firm, which has focused on the oil and gas sector, has appointed a new chief executive and rebranded as it targets the wider energy market and defence sector.<\/p>\n
Granite is the new name for Recruitment Ventures and Jen Campbell has been hired to lead the firm\u2019s three-year \u00a320 million growth plan.<\/p>\n
It will be seeking a slice of the expanding energy business which expects grid and transmission companies to spend \u00a374 billion by 2031 and create more than 56,000 jobs.<\/p>\n
There is an \u00a38bn investment in British shipbuilding, including the building of Type-26 frigates on the Clyde which will support 1,700 skilled jobs in Glasgow.<\/p>\n
Ms Campbell, who has taken a significant shareholding in Granite, joins from Big Four firm EY where she held a senior business development director role, working across mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and growth advisory, and led a Scottish finance Leaders network of 300 CFOs.<\/p>\n
She has more than 15 years\u2019 experience in STEM-focused recruitment, including senior roles with SThree Plc where she played a pivotal role in expanding the company\u2019s footprint across oil & gas, nuclear, power and wind in the UK and Middle East and developed the company\u2019s largest energy client.<\/p>\n
Recruitment Venture\u2019s three existing brands, Granite Recruitment \u2013 Omni Subsea and Ingenii \u2013 will be consolidated under the one Granite brand and operations director Rhea Fraser will continue to play a central role in growing the business.<\/p>\n
Backed by the I7V investment group, which acquired the business in 2021, Granite has a 22-year track record in technical recruitment.<\/p>\n
