The round was announced on February 12\u00a0and\u00a0included Hanabi Capital, Bain Capital\u00a0Ventures,\u00a0and multiple angel investors.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Anthropic<\/strong> announced a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/02\/12\/anthropic-raises-another-30-billion-in-series-g-with-a-new-value-of-380-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$30 billion\u00a0Series G funding round<\/a>\u00a0on February 12 that valued the AI research lab at\u00a0$380 billion. More than 30 investors participated\u00a0in the\u00a0round,\u00a0including Founders Fund, Coatue, and Nvidia, among many others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Media-generation platform\u00a0<strong>Runway\u00a0<\/strong>raised a <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/02\/10\/ai-video-startup-runway-raises-315m-at-5-3b-valuation-eyes-more-capable-world-models\/\">$315 million Series E round<\/a> that valued the company at $5.3 billion. This funding was led by General Atlantic and was announced on February 10. Nvidia,\u00a0Fidelity,\u00a0and Felicis also invested, among others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Goodfire<\/strong>, an AI research lab, announced a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodfire.ai\/blog\/our-series-b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">$150 million Series B round<\/a> on February 5. B Capital led the round with participation from Juniper Ventures, Lightspeed Venture\u00a0Partners,\u00a0and\u00a0Menlo Ventures. The round valued the company at\u00a0$1.25\u00a0billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">AI research company\u00a0<strong>Fundamental<\/strong>\u00a0announced a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/02\/05\/fundamental-raises-255-million-series-a-with-a-new-take-on-big-data-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$255 million Series A round<\/a>\u00a0on February 5. This\u00a0round valued the company at\u00a0$1.4 billion. Investors\u00a0in the round included Oak HC\/FT, Salesforce Ventures, Valor Equity\u00a0Partners,\u00a0and QP Ventures, among others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Voice AI company\u00a0<strong>ElevenLabs<\/strong>\u00a0raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/02\/04\/elevenlabs-raises-500m-from-sequioia-at-a-11-billion-valuation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$500 million Series D round<\/a>\u00a0that was announced on February 4. The round was led by Sequoia and valued the company at\u00a0$11 billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-january\">January<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>PaleBlueDot\u00a0AI<\/strong>, a\u00a0compute\u00a0platform, raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/palebluedot-ai-raises-150m-series-b-to-scale-global-ai-compute-infrastructure-302672782.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">$150 million Series B round<\/a>\u00a0that valued\u00a0the startup\u00a0at\u00a0$1 billion. The round was announced on January 28 and was led by B Capital.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Conversational AI platform\u00a0<strong>Decagon\u00a0<\/strong>announced a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/decagon.ai\/resources\/series-d-announcement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">$250 million Series D round<\/a>\u00a0on January 28. The round was co-led by Coatue and Index Ventures and valued the company at\u00a0$4.5\u00a0billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">AI research lab\u00a0<strong>Flapping Airplanes<\/strong>\u00a0raised\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/29\/flapping-airplanes-and-the-promise-of-research-driven-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$180 million seed round<\/a>\u00a0that was led by Google Ventures, Sequoia,\u00a0and Index Ventures. The round was announced\u00a0on January 28 and valued the company at\u00a0$1.5 billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Baseten\u00a0<\/strong>raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseten.co\/blog\/announcing-baseten-s-300m-series-e\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">$300 million Series E round<\/a>\u00a0that valued the AI\u00a0infrastructure\u00a0startup at\u00a0$5 billion. The round was\u00a0led by IVP and\u00a0CapitalG\u00a0and was announced on January 23.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Inferact<\/strong>,\u00a0an AI inference startup, raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/22\/inference-startup-inferact-lands-150m-to-commercialize-vllm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$150 million seed round<\/a>\u00a0mere months after its founding. The round was announced on January 22 and\u00a0garnered\u00a0the\u00a0company\u00a0an $800 million valuation.\u00a0The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed Venture Partners.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Cambridge, Massachusetts-based\u00a0<strong>OpenEvidence\u00a0<\/strong>raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/21\/openevidence-hits-12b-valuation-with-new-round-led-by-thrive-dst\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$250 million Series D round<\/a>\u00a0for its medical AI chatbot. The round was co-led by Thrive Global and DST Global and was announced on January 21. This round valued\u00a0OpenEvidence\u00a0at\u00a0$12 billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">AI research lab\u00a0<strong>humans&amp;<\/strong>\u00a0raised a monster\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/20\/humans-a-human-centric-ai-startup-founded-by-anthropic-xai-google-alums-raised-480m-seed-round\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$480 million seed round<\/a>\u00a0that was announced on January 20. Investors in the round include\u00a0Nvidia, Jeff Bezos, and GV, among others. This round valued the young startup at\u00a0$4.48 billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>SkildAI<\/strong>, which builds AI models to power robots, raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/14\/robotic-software-maker-skild-ai-hits-14b-valuation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$1.4 billion\u00a0Series C round<\/a>\u00a0that valued\u00a0the startup\u00a0at\u00a0$14 billion. The\u00a0round was announced on January 14 and was led by SoftBank and Nvidia.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Voice AI platform\u00a0<strong>Deepgram<\/strong>\u00a0raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/13\/deepgram-raises-130m-at-1-3b-valuation-and-buys-a-yc-ai-startup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$130\u00a0million Series C round<\/a>\u00a0led\u00a0by AVP, with participation from Tiger Global,\u00a0ServiceNow\u00a0Ventures, and Madrona, among others. The round was announced on January\u00a013\u00a0and valued the company at\u00a0$1.3\u00a0billion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Arena<\/strong>, a large language model evaluation platform, raised a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/06\/lmarena-lands-1-7b-valuation-four-months-after-launching-its-product\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$150 million Series A round<\/a>\u00a0that was co-led by Felicis and UC Investments. This round\u00a0valued the one-year-old startup at\u00a0$1.7 billion\u00a0and was announced on\u00a0January 6.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Elon Musk\u2019s\u00a0<strong>xAI<\/strong>\u00a0started the new year with a bang. The AI research lab announced a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/06\/xai-says-it-raised-20b-in-series-e-funding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$20 billion\u00a0Series E round<\/a>\u00a0on January 6. Valor Equity Partners,\u00a0Fidelity,\u00a0and the Qatar Investment Authority\u00a0participated\u00a0in\u00a0the round, among others.
