Moneyweb is a financial media group and a wholly owned subsidiary of\u00a0AME<\/strong>. We focus on producing independent, high-quality investment news on various platforms, including online, radio, print, newsletters and through our various event activations.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Position overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for a producer for Moneyweb\u2019s SAfm Market Update to join our fast-paced, multi-platform radio and podcast team. This is a full-time position, operating within a shift system alongside the current production team.<\/p>\n

Main responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

In collaboration with the presenter, the producer will:<\/p>\n

  • Assist with the production of the daily Market Update show and related features<\/li>\n
  • Source and book relevant, high-quality guests for interviews<\/li>\n
  • Contribute strong editorial angles, topic ideas and market-driven content<\/li>\n
  • Prepare briefs, notes and supporting material for interviews<\/li>\n
  • Work with commercial clients and manage sponsored content in line with Moneyweb\u2019s editorial standards<\/li>\n
  • Manage administration tasks related to radio programming<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with the editorial and digital teams<\/li>\n
  • Adhere to reasonable requests from Moneyweb management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Minimum qualifications and requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication and organisational skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to perform under pressure in a live broadcast environment<\/li>\n
    • Flexible and willing to work shift hours<\/li>\n
    • At least three years\u2019 experience in the media, radio or business-news environment<\/li>\n
    • An economics, finance, journalism or related qualification will be advantageous<\/li>\n
    • Solid understanding of financial markets and the business news cycle<\/li>\n
    • An established contact database in the investment or corporate space is beneficial<\/li>\n
    • Own transport is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
