{"id":1749,"date":"2025-12-08T19:17:20","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T19:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=1749"},"modified":"2025-12-08T19:17:20","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T19:17:20","slug":"fa-cup-third-round-draw-macclesfield-v-crystal-palace-tottenham-v-aston-villa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=1749","title":{"rendered":"FA Cup third-round draw: Macclesfield v Crystal Palace, Tottenham v Aston Villa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Sixth-tier club Macclesfield will host holders Crystal Palace in the third round of the FA Cup.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">There are four all-Premier League ties, including Tottenham hosting Aston Villa, Sunderland travelling to Everton, Newcastle welcoming Bournemouth to St James&#8217; Park, and Manchester United at home to Brighton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Fellow sixth-tier side<b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\"> <\/b>Weston-super-Mare, who have reached this stage of the competition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/articles\/c4gezvdqzydo\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">for the first time in their 138-year history<\/a>, travel to League Two Grimsby.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Premier League leaders Arsenal visit Portsmouth, while Manchester City host League One Exeter City and Liverpool are at home to third-tier Barnsley. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In the other ties involving top-flight clubs, there are two London derbies as Chelsea travel to Charlton and West Ham host Queens Park Rangers, while Fulham play Middlesbrough and Leeds take on Derby County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">All matches will be played around the weekend commencing Saturday, 10 January 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Unlike in previous years, there are no replays if matches end as a draw.
