Nottingham Forest<\/b><\/a> goalkeeper John Victor has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. <\/b><\/p>\n The 29-year-old sustained the injury against Aston Villa<\/a> earlier this month and sources have told BBC Sport he will not return this term.<\/p>\n With only Angus Gunn as back-up to Matz Sels, Forest are now in talks to sign Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa<\/a> before Monday’s transfer deadline.<\/p>\n Victor and Sels have shared goalkeeping duties at the City Ground this season.<\/p>\n Any move for Sa would hinge on the Molineux side, who are bottom of the Premier League, being able to find a replacement. <\/p>\n Victor came off in the 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa<\/a> on 3 January after injuring his knee while conceding Villa’s third to John McGinn. <\/p>\n Boss Sean Dyche said earlier this month: “John Victor is injured unfortunately and has had a minor operation on his knee, so he’ll be out for a little bit. We’re not sure on the timescale yet.”<\/p>\n Victor joined Forest from Botafogo in the summer and has made nine appearances.<\/p>\n He replaced Sels in the Premier League for five games before sustaining the injury at Villa Park. <\/p>\n Forest have also been without striker Chris Wood since October, with last season’s 20-goal top-scorer having surgery on his knee in December.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
