Wales men will use the away match in London as a part of their preparations for the inaugural Nations Championship in which they will face southern Hemisphere rivals Fiji, Argentina and South Africa over consecutive weeks in July.<\/p>\n
The South Africa game has been announced as being in Durban on July 18 while the venues for the other two matches are yet to be officially confirmed.<\/p>\n
“Playing against the Barbarians is always a very special occasion,” said Wales men’s head coach Steve Tandy.<\/p>\n
“They play with freedom and creativity and bring together some of the best players in the world. <\/p>\n
“This is a game that will be an important part of our preparation as we gear up for the Nations Championship and will offer up some exciting action for fans.”<\/p>\n
Wales women will have completed their Six Nations campaign in May and be looking forward to the WXV Global Series in September and October.<\/p>\n
“The Baa-baas are a key part of rugby’s culture and history and have the ability to attract world class talent ,” said Wales women’s head coach Sean Lynn.<\/p>\n
