{"id":15224,"date":"2026-01-24T05:23:53","date_gmt":"2026-01-24T05:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=15224"},"modified":"2026-01-24T05:23:53","modified_gmt":"2026-01-24T05:23:53","slug":"x-games-mia-brookes-wins-gold-in-the-womens-snowboard-slopestyle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microvibenews.com\/?p=15224","title":{"rendered":"X Games: Mia Brookes wins gold in the women&#8217;s snowboard slopestyle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Great Britain&#8217;s Mia Brookes has won gold in the women&#8217;s snowboard slopestyle competition at the X Games in Aspen, Colorado. <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Brookes, who has been named in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/articles\/ckgjj5408yvo\" class=\"ssrcss-ckhpdl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">20-strong Team GB squad<\/a> for the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics next month, secured victory with a score of 96.33. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 19-year-old beat New Zealand&#8217;s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, who took silver with a score of 93, and Kokomo Murase of Japan, who claimed bronze with 89.66. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">This is Brookes&#8217; second major podium of the season, following her win at the Beijing Big Air World Cup in December. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It feels pretty great to win.
