Luxair is entering the Scottish market with its seasonal route to Luxembourg. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A significant expansion project is also in the pipeline for this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Gordon Dewar, dhief executive of Edinburgh Airport, said: \u201cThe past year has been a strong one for Edinburgh Airport, reflecting the continued appetite for travel and tourism, both to and from<br \/>Scotland, with new European and transatlantic routes further strengthening our connectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Orkney wind farm <\/strong>on hold<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A\u00a0huge offshore wind farm\u00a0development west of Orkney,\u00a0which was expected to power two million homes by the end of the decade,\u00a0has\u00a0been put on hold after the developer said transmission charges are too high.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">West of Orkney is being developed by a consortium involving Corio Generation, TotalEnergies and Renewables Infrastructure Development Group.
