Casino and leisure giant Sun International has scooped up property industry executive Nomzamo\u00a0Radebe \u2013 the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of JSE-listed SA Corporate Real Estate \u2013 to join the group.<\/p>\n
Sun International CEO Ulrik Bengtsson announced this week that Radebe has been appointed as the group\u2019s new COO for Hospitality and Sales. Radebe takes on a role previously held by Graham Wood, who exited last year and became CEO of the V&A Waterfront this month.<\/p>\n

Radebe will step into the new COO role from 2 February.<\/p>\n
Bengtsson said the group is confident Radebe \u201cwill play a pivotal role in bringing new insights\u201d to its hospitality and property businesses.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis marks another exciting step in our progression as we continue to build\u00a0Sun International\u2019s\u00a0world-class capabilities, which include taking a fresh perspective on our business, and pursuing our ambition to become a digitally led, market-leading, omnichannel gaming company of scale,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Radebe is a Chartered Accountant (CA SA), with over 27 years of experience as a property executive. She has also held several industry roles, including president of the South African Property Owner Association (Sapoa) and the South African Council of Shopping Centres.<\/p>\n
Radebe remains a board member at Sapoa.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer impressive resume includes being the COO at SA Corporate Real Estate Ltd, along with being CEO of Excellerate JHI. She also served as the Chief Investment Officer and Financial Director at Pareto Limited and was a Director at National Treasury,\u201d Sun International noted in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe depth of Radebe\u2019s experience in property asset management and portfolio optimisation includes leading high-performing teams managing property portfolios valued at over R10 billion, along with driving strategic growth, assessing risk management and ensuring regulatory compliance,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
\nCommenting on her appointment, Radebe said she\u2019s excited to join such a strong brand like Sun International.<\/p>\n
