It didn\u2019t take<\/span> long at all for videos to emerge<\/a> from the scene of the fatal shooting by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer during a raid in Minneapolis on Wednesday. And, just as quickly, the videos became a kind of Zapruder film, weaponized by people desperate to misinterpret events everyone can see with their own eyes to justify an innocent woman\u2019s death.<\/p>\n It\u2019s more critical than ever to trust what you\u2019re seeing with your own eyes. The Trump administration\u2019s spin of these events \u2014 of a brutal terrorist attack by a 37-year-old mom against a federal agent just out there doing his job to make us safer \u2014 is quite plainly not backed up by these videos. Who are you going to believe, they seem to be asking us: Our official version, or your own lying eyes?\u00a0<\/p>\n The Trump administration\u2019s spin of these events is quite plainly not backed up by these videos.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n Here\u2019s what the videos show to anyone able to think critically and with a conscience: Renee Nicole Good, a mother of three, was in the driver\u2019s seat of a red car. Good appears to be waving vehicles to pass her<\/a>, as if she\u2019s directing traffic to proceed past her in an orderly way.\u00a0<\/p>\n As immigration agents approach the driver\u2019s side door, one can be heard telling her, \u201cGet out of the fucking car.\u201d It\u2019s hard to tell which agent is speaking, given their propensity for masking their faces to avoid public scrutiny or the consequences of their actions. One of the agents then starts pulling at the door handle of Good\u2019s car, and she starts to pull away.\u00a0<\/p>\n At this point, another agent, whom The Intercept identified<\/a> as Jonathan Ross, can then be heard firing multiple shots<\/a> at close range, killing her.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In another video<\/a> taken in the aftermath of the shots, a woman sits on the snow-covered ground, howling in unimaginable pain, saying, \u201cThey killed my wife.\u201d She adds, \u201cThey shot her in the head.\u201d She can also be heard saying they have a 6-year-old at school.\u00a0<\/p>\n A man can be seen in a separate video<\/a>, identifying himself as a physician, pleading with the officers to be allowed to check Good for a pulse. An officer responds, \u201cI don\u2019t care,\u201d and the doctor is prevented from approaching the victim.\u00a0<\/p>\n There is real truth in these videos if you trust your own eyes and ears.<\/p>\n The preferred video \u201cangle\u201d for conservatives, however, was published by local news station ABC 5. On Truth Social<\/a>, President Donald Trump pointed to \u201cthe attached clip\u201d as evidence that \u201cthe woman screaming\u201d \u2014 Good\u2019s apparent wife \u2014\u00a0was a \u201cprofessional agitator.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cThe situation is being studied, in its entirety.\u201d<\/p>\n Vice President JD Vance hopped on the bandwagon on Twitter<\/a>. He reposted someone else\u2019s declaration<\/a> that the angle of the ABC video \u201csettles it.\u201d \u201cCorrect. You can accept that this woman\u2019s death is a tragedy while acknowledging it\u2019s a tragedy of her own making,\u201d Vance chimes in. \u201cDon\u2019t illegally interfere in federal law enforcement operations and try to run over our officers with your car. It\u2019s really that simple.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n\n
